CHANGE!!!A BIG WORD AND A BIG NEED
I am reasonably confident that you must have given thought to the news of that vet doctor who was burnt alive by the four demons of our society, a small 8 yr old girl being raped in the premises of temple even if you aren't receptive of these cases then at least you know about the most popular NIRBHAYA CASE that steered the whole nation to cry....but that was about in 2012 and today is 2019 which isn't a small-time to mark an end to these sins..BUT THAT NEVER SEEM TO HAPPEN......
“Nothing will change by holding candles in our hands and keeping mum.
The people and the country will only change if the citizens express their will to fight – with fire in their hearts.”
On an average at least 40,000 rapes case get reported yearly, 106 rapes daily and for which the conviction rate is only 25 percent which ultimately suggests girls are not nirbhaya of this society rather these felons are nirbhayak (fearless ) as they know that our righteousness is slow as these figures tell them that there are only 25 percent chances of being imprisoned so why should they fear?
The FOURTH most common crime in India is rape. In 2013, it was found that a rape occurs every 20 minutes in India, according to the NCRB stats.
OK I know you are really pained by knowing all these and I KNOW what you want NOW is the change, the improvement women are wanting in the society, the transition of system....these are just a mere talk that we do after every such act afterward we overlook it.
We see, we narrate, we share, we exclaim, we talk and then we forget.
Do we take a step to stop it?
NO,WE JUST get busy in OUR normal plan and that's it.
WAIT GUYS THAT'S NOT IT....we are the futures, we are the youngsters and if we don't bring the transitions then who else will???
I understand you are busy pursuing your pursuit, your future, your ambitions... trust me that's exact for me...but what future, what ambition in a fearful neighborhood where culprits are moving freely in search of their target. Literally, I am not quoting to rapist only it's about all the crimes against humanity.
Our country does not require its citizens to give sympathy to each other and be quiet; it needs them to fight back. You have only one chance to live in the nation of your dreams...a nation where everyone is safe, free and happy at the same time and just by optimistic foresight this is not going to be a reality any time soon.
FOR THIS you just don't need to raise your voice but need to put forward a direction, a direction of change, a trend of building a safer nation, a motion of making girls courageous and heroic ...a direction of making our future safer.
SOME WAYS BY YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL CAN STOP THIS RAPE CULTURE
1.Bring awareness and challenge victim-blaming statements.
2.Give constructive input about why comments or jokes that perpetuate rape culture or sexism are not okay.
3.Pledge to never commit or condone any acts of violence.
4. Take a self-defense class. Your mind, your voice and your body are powerful tools for prevention.
