Scientist are still not sure about the reason behind the faster and faster Spin of Bennu

NASA's targeted Asteroid Bennu  for the sampling mission as it seems to have some different properties like one is faster spin of Bennu.This study will help scientist to understand the evolution of asteroids and the possible threat to earth.

In the journal geophysical Research letters,the research of bennu has published showing that  rotation is speeding up by one second per century.I know this speed doesn't seem like much ,but in long run  it can transferred into dramatic changes .
As on today ,it moves through space at about 101,00 km/h . Hence completing a full rotation every 4.3 hours.

         Bennu being located 110 million kilometers away from earth .So, it speeding over years might lead it lose its pieces or may blow itself apart.
The original, spectral interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) spacecraft reached Bennu last year for the purpose of study and it will bring sample of Bennu to Earth in 2023.

This will also help the scientific search on mining asteroids for resouces and also providing more hint about the origin of solar system.
Although ,there are very few with this speed .Then,let's hope this sample would tell us something significant .
