Proving the above line,Aparna kumari became the first woman IPS officer to reach the south pole.

On last sunday she conquered the mission by unfurling the tri colour at the South pole whilst   mission was more challenging than her all previous as she had gone through pneumonia-hit just before leaving  for the quest.

" The weather is never the same.It is cloudy,windy,icy cold and snowing. Antarctica is the driest and coldest place on earth .It was a great struggle to stay in open in such an extreme weather condition.My hands and fingers were terribly cold and I always feared of getting frostbite.Even toes get very cold while moving"  said the mountaineer.
Since she has just recovered from pneumonia,she had to carry the medicines  on her voyage to Antarctica .
"I felt really blessed and fortunate", she said while crediting her husband for the success.
Many of her team member had to leave in between the mission mainly because of health issue's but she doesn't stop  and completed the expedition with her grit by beating the biting nature and the making the country proud once again.
